Who We Are
Sanskruti Foundation is a cultural and dance academy based in Thane, Mumbai, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists.
For many years, we have been enhancing dancing skills in children and youth through structured training in Kathak, Bollywood, and Western dance forms.
Our roots lie in the belief that the future lies in the hands of the younger generation. By grooming, mentoring, and providing performance opportunities, we aim to raise the standard and profile of dance in India and abroad.
Adv. Jyoti Sawant – President
(B.A.L.L.B / Kathak Visharad) | Member of International Dance Council (CID #35794)
An advocate by profession and a Kathak Visharad by passion, Adv. Jyoti Sawant is the driving force behind Sanskruti Foundation. Trained under Guru Manjiri Dev and Nivedita Ranade, she has been honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Indian Classical Kathak Dance.
Her mission is to spread the art form globally, and under her leadership, students have performed at prestigious international festivals in Mauritius (2010), Bangkok (2012 & 2014), and Australia (2017).
She also serves as an examiner at Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Vidhyalaya.
Mr. Rakesh Chorghe – Vice President

With over two decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and event director, Mr. Rakesh Chorghe brings creativity and professionalism to Sanskruti Foundation.
He has choreographed and performed with renowned artists like Shaan, Stereo Nation, Abhijeet Sawant, and Rahul Vaidya.
He has been integral in expanding the foundation’s cultural activities, both in India and internationally, making Sanskruti Foundation a trusted name in the cultural arena.
